Archery

It is the sport in which bow and arrows are used. Archery has historically been used in combat and hunting and is a precision sport. A person practicing archery is called an archer, and one who is fond of or an expert at archery is sometimes called a toxophilite.

All three are now features of the Winter Olympic game. Men and women are allowed to take part in these games.

Water polo

It is a team water sport. A team consists of six field players and one goal keeper. The team that scores more goals wins the game. Water polo is a team water sport requiring an ability to swim. Field players must swim end to end of a 30-meter pool non-stop many times during a game without touching the sides or bottom of the pool.

An act of physical engagement between two unarmed persons, wrestling is a sport in which each wrestler tries to get an advantage over or control of their opponent. Physical techniques which embody the style of wrestling are holding, clinching, leverage and locking. There are various styles of wrestling all over the world.

Boxing

It is sometimes known as pugilism, fist fighting etc is a combat sport in which two participants (generally) of similar weight engage in fighting using their fists. Boxing today is conducted in a systematic way, typically in a series of one to three-minute intervals called rounds. Victory comes if the opponent is knocked down.

Surfing

A surface water sport, Surfing is a game in which the participant is carried along the face of a breaking wave. Surfers make use of a surfboard, although wave-riders may make use of knee boards, kayaks, surf skis and body boards also in order to surf effectively

Rafting

A challenging recreational sport, Rafting or whitewater rafting makes use of a raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. This is usually done on different degrees of rough water, in order to thrill and excite the raft passengers. This game developed as a leisure sport since the mid 1970s.

Swimming

It is a popular sport of recent times. To swim is to move through water. People swim using their arms and/or legs. Swimming can be divided into several “strokes:” breaststroke, front crawl, butterfly, and backstroke being among them. The freestyle, in competition, is a swim race where you can swim any of the four strokes.

Tennis

A racquet sport played between two players or between two teams of two players each, Tennis is a spectacular game. Each player uses a strung racquet to hit a hollow rubber ball covered with felt (most of the time Optic Yellow, but can be any color or even two-tone) over a net into the opponent’s court.

Cricket is a game played between two competing teams of eleven players on each side, on a large expanse of (usually grassy) ground called a pitch. Persons in the teams have a mix of skill sets which include specialization at batting, bowling, occasionally some who excel in both capacities.
