It is a team game played on sand. The game involves 2 teams on either side of the net which divides a rectangular court. The players hit a volley ball, usually using the hands or arms. Players on each team try to hit the ball over the net in such a way that it touches the sand inside the court boundaries, and to prevent the ball from touching the ground on their own side of the court.
